Being Your Own Cheerleader
Truthfully you have to keep watching things and surrounding yourself with things that keep you motivated if you think you honestly want to be successful because getting yourself to go against the grain is tough. Although acquiring things is nice success for me is not about acquiring countless material possessions that will only become outdated at some point. But material possessions are easy to see and touch so when you put your eyes/hands on them they can sometimes snap you back from your wandering or procrastination or may spark some motivation for you. We are at the forefront of being able to control what success means to us which is a power many have yet to realize. But this past weekend I took myself to a Porsche dealership and for the first time I was able to put my hands on a 2019 Porsche Macan, and I do not have the proper financial resources (yet) to purchase that but I will because it has been solidified in my mind that I not only want to, but WILL reach that level of success where if I just feel like getting up on a Saturday morning to go buy a new Porsche, I can and will. That jolting feeling of self motivation is as exhilarating as driving 100 mph in a Metallic Jet Black Porsche Macan GTS around a 4-lane wide S-Curve, on a cool 73 degree, partly cloudy day with no one else on the road and the G-force sticking you to your seat. So vivid because that is literally what I was doing and it was fantastic.
You have got to truly envision these things and if they are available and appeal to the tangible 5 senses and within your grasp to do then go wherever you can get closest! Because I want you to experience this with me, I want you to jump to the weekend, Saturday morning, light clouds and sunshine, 74 degrees Fahrenheit outside, I pull up the Park Place Porsche dealership greeted by Nick, a young sales associate. We converse for a few minutes making small talk as i gauge his customer service so then we talk about the Porsche Macan and its specifics,the exterior color and interior color/material specifics. “Yes sir Nick I prefer the caramel macchiato Napa leather with wood trimmings, and also I must have the 19-speaker Burmester 3-D Surround system option in the vehicle” this is the car that you I determined to buy. After the minutes of chatting and a few laughs, Nick took my ID and etc. tells me he will be right back, about 10 minutes later he pulls the vehicle up in front of the double wide opening showroom floor doors and invites me to come check out my new potential piece of luxury.At that point when I heard the turbo charged german engineered performance V6 growling with 360HP that was the first part of my excitement. Once in the vehicle all you can focus on is how luxurious the leather feels stitched with absolute precision and craftsmanship. I sunk into the seat as it gave me a welcome home hug. I could’ve sworn I was in a private jet haha. During the drive Nick turned to ask me how fast I thought we were going while I was in the driver seat I said “probably about 40-50 mph” only to look down at the speedometer and realize that I was actually clocking around 101 mph then figuring out why everything was zipping by you in a blur.
So after we returned and exchanged information etc. I knew I was not going to be taking the vehicle home today but it didn’t matter because in the moment I was so motivated to make it happen. The real question at that point is how did I walk away from this experience?? Did I walk away joyful? sad? envious? bitter? I was absolutely 100% on my hustle soap box telling myself that this is a must by the beginning of 2020. That is what it is like being your own hypeman/woman, I know for sure that at this point and time in my life that I can not afford to buy a Porsche Macan but it is not going to stop me from getting a 2019 model by the end of the year based on the decisions I make right now. I am choosing to defy the ease of accepting comfort I am staying glued to being driven for better than okay. I ask you, how dedicated are you to your dreams? Better question is how disciplined are you to your goals? Understand that where there is desire lies also ability. Be Your Own Hype! Don't be discouraged by your current circumstances because the beautiful thing is that if you are living freely you still have a opportunity to make the choice to go a different way than you have been going. Find your motivation no matter what it is and put it in front of you everyday! To remind yourself of your unique greatness. I want success for you! How bad do you want it???
